Bushwick Spice Trade

  • 4 oz. Gin
  • 1 oz. Lemon Juice
  • 4 Slices Ginger
  • 2 Sugar Cubes
  • 3 Dashes Prickly Pear Bitters
Add lemon juice, ginger and sugar to a cocktail shaker and muddle ginger and sugar until sugar is mostly dissolved. Add gin, bitters and ice to shaker and shake for 15-seconds. Double strain contents (using secondary tea strainer our conical strainer) into a chilled cocktail glass (or, if you want, over ice into a lowball glass). Garnish with ginger slice and serve.

7 Stills make their Prickly Pear Bitters by macerating organic prickly pears for over two weeks with cactus pads, and a blend of herbs and spices. They are a great addition to your favorite tequila or mescal cocktail and are unlike anything you’ve ever tried!

The prickly pear adds a sweet, kiwi-like tanginess while the cactus pads balance it out with an earthy bitterness. The base for these bitters is their non-GMO corn vodka: California Courage!
